TOWSON - Under Armour, the Baltimore-based global leader in performance footwear, apparel, and equipment, has renewed its partnership with Towson University, according to a university announcement on Tuesday.
The company will continue its role as the official outfitter of the Towson University athletics department for the next five years. The partnership between the two institutions dates back to 2010 and was renewed in 2014 and 2018. The renewal of the agreement ensures that Under Armour will continue to provide on-field and training gear for Towson's 19 varsity sports teams and supply attire for athletic department members, including coaches and staff.
Steve Eigenbrot, Towson Athletics Director, expressed his satisfaction with the extended contract in a university publication.
"Under Armour has been an incredible partner for Towson, and we are thrilled to be announcing the extension of our contract together," Eigenbrot said. "Under Armour is not only an iconic member of the Baltimore business community, but a visionary in the field of performance apparel, and its support moving forward will be a critical component to the success of our Tiger athletics teams."
Towson University is part of a group of Under Armor NCAA partners, including high-profile universities such as Auburn University, the University of Maryland, the University of Notre Dame, Texas Tech University, Northwestern University, the University of South Carolina, and the University of Wisconsin.
Towson Athletics fields 19 NCAA Division I teams that compete in the Colonial Athletic Association, a prominent mid-major conference offering the most comprehensive sports program in the metropolitan Baltimore area.
