MARYLAND - First sandwiches, then burgers, and now... pizza? That's right! Wawa, the popular convenience store chain known for its on-the-go meal options, has just made a major expansion to its dinner menu.

After a month of taste-testing in select locations, Wawa has successfully rolled out its new pizza offering to over 900 of its stores across the Mid-Atlantic and Florida regions.

Mary-Rose Hannum, Vice President of Fresh Food & Beverages for Wawa, expressed her excitement about this new development in the convenience store's offerings.

"We are absolutely thrilled to launch Wawa Pizza and give our customers another delicious dinner meal option to pair with our expansive selection of other fresh-to-order foods, snacks, drinks, and more," Hannum said. "Pizza is one of the most beloved foods in America, so we couldn't be more excited to make it a part of Wawa's fast-casual-to-go offerings."

Customers can order their favorite pies in two sizes – 14 or 16 inches – either in-store at the touchscreen kiosks or on-the-go using the Wawa app.

According to Wawa, all pizzas are custom-built using freshly made dough, special-recipe pizza sauce, whole milk mozzarella, and a host of toppings.

They're fired up in new pizza ovens that are now a staple at most Wawa stores. The current menu features several classic flavors, including plain, pepperoni, sausage, mushroom, and veggie, with promises of more variety on the horizon.

For those late-night pizza cravings, Wawa has you covered – their pizzas will be available from 4 p.m. to 3 a.m. in stores that are open 24 hours.
