Investigation Underway After 16-Year-Old Shot Near Towson High School
TOWSON - The Baltimore County Police Department is investigating a shooting near Towson High School on Wednesday night.
According to police, officers were alerted around 9:30 p.m. when a 16-year-old with a gunshot wound arrived at a local hospital for treatment.
A preliminary investigation suggests the shooting occurred on Cedar Avenue, close to the high school premises.
Police added that the teenager's injuries appear to be the outcome of an "unintentional discharge" of a firearm.
At this time, it remains uncertain if the gunshot wound was self-inflicted.
