TOWSON - Cromwell Valley Park and the Towson Arts Council are teaming up to host a combined fall festival for the first time this year.
The festival will run from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 16, and from noon to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 17, at Cromwell Valley Park. This special event combines two popular community celebrations: the park's annual "Fall Migration Celebration" and the Towson Arts Collective's annual "Arts in the Park."
Families can look forward to a broad range of activities arranged throughout the picturesque 460-acre park, including live performances by local musicians, displays by local artists, crafted goods for sale, and interactive activities such as face painting.
Food trucks and beverage stalls will also be on-site, offering local Maryland drinks like Lindsay's Southside Mix and Scotties Handcrafted Vodka. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own blankets to maximize comfort during the festivities.
The third annual Migration Celebration will occur from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. This event aims to educate the community about the park's native avian species that migrate during the fall season. Activities will include guided hawk watches, hiking demonstrations, games, and educational programs related to bird migration.
The festival has received financial backing from several organizations, including the Baltimore County Arts and Sciences Commission, The Citizens of Baltimore County, ProfessionalAquariums.com, CampoDesignCo.com, and Point Breeze Credit Union.
