TOWSON - Change is on the horizon at the Towson Town Center -  Fogo de Chão Brazilian Steakhouse recently announced plans to replace longtime Town Center tenant P.F. Chang's.

The Towson P.F. Chang's location, known for its distinctive outdoor horse sculptures, has been a fixture at the Towson Town Center for almost 14 years. It occupies one of the area's most high-profile corners at Fairmount Avenue and Dulaney Valley Road.

Fogo de Chão presented plans for a "simple renovation" of the building at a Baltimore County Design Review Panel meeting on July 12. The restaurant aims to fill the space with a "high-end fine dining establishment offering interior and outdoor dining, a full bar, and valet service for patrons."

According to the presentation, Fogo de Chão's renovation project aims to transform the existing structure of P.F. Chang's, save for constructing an extended indoor patio around the building's curved tower.

The new additions aim to "improve Towson's existing character by enhancing the architecture that was already there."

Notably, the iconic horse sculptures that have been a part of P.F. Chang's exterior will be removed as part of the transformation.

WMAR2 News reports that Fogo de Chão aims to open the Towson location sometime in 2024.
