TIMONIUM - Despite challenging weather conditions, the 2023 Maryland State Fair concluded its three-weekend run on September 10, with around 518,000 fairgoers braving temperatures in the upper 90s amid scattered storms.

One of the standout successes of this year's fair was the 4-H/FFA Youth Livestock Sale, which raised a record breaking $201,970. A total of 68 youths will benefit from the proceeds, investing the money in future agricultural projects or educational pursuits.

In addition to the livestock sale, the Maryland State Fair and Agricultural Society awarded $31,000 in college scholarships during this year's event.

Next year's Maryland State Fair is scheduled for August 22-25, August 29-September 2, and September 5-8, 2024.
