The Arc Baltimore’s upcoming Annual Meeting and Awards Reception will honor individuals who have gone “above and beyond” in their service to the organization and the people with developmental disabilities who are recipients of its programs and services.

The 2023 Annual Meeting and Awards Reception will be held next Wednesday, May 3, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Padonia Park Club, 12006 Jenifer Road in Cockeysville, MD.

Kathleen Durkin, The Arc Baltimore’s Chief Executive Officer, notes, “The Annual Meeting presents our opportunity to honor all those who have given so much of themselves to the mission of The Arc, from community partners and volunteers to supported individuals, staff members, and other heroes of the organization.”

“It is their hard work that is at the very heart of our vision for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live independently, work in meaningful jobs, and enjoy friendships and activities in the community,” Durkin continues.

As in past years, the 2023 Annual Meeting and Awards Reception will feature a number of recognitions, from awards for Volunteer Service and Foster Care Excellence to honors for Citizenship, Public Service, and Visionary Leadership. The Arc Baltimore’s Employee of the Year and Employer of the Year will also be announced at the event.

In addition to the award presentations, The Arc Baltimore’s new board of directors and officers will be elected during the Annual Meeting. As in past years, WMAR-TV 2 news anchor Jamie Costello will serve as emcee of the event.

Tickets for The Arc Baltimore’s 2022 Annual Meeting and Awards Reception are $25 for staff, staff retirees, and people The Arc Baltimore supports, and $50 for all others.
